Afternoon teaching

VG encourages us to und that there's not one single subjcet in our kadampa d books that is not true.

And if we followe the insturctions in kada d our m will become more peaceful happy and beneficial for others good things will come naturally.

Sitting here as fortunate modern k disciples shows that it is true - following the truth.

We exp suffering bec we are doing opposite to D.

Follow the advice of D there is no basis for suff or prob we will easily fulfil our wishes.

Everything d is telling you is good advice - so much good advice we see it asa problem (lol)

Geshe-la said in Santa Barbara - when can i practice dharma - geshela asked how many hours do you work - this is when you practice.

Wherever we are whatever we are doing we are remembering D adivce following guidlines from DS - everything d is teeling you is good advice it is always positive meaningufl advice.

We ignore it by moving our mind focused on meaningfless or neg things - why do we do it to our self and other?

Think - bring m back to d adivce - thhen you keep m with our g and we recevie blessing.

BD is the method for abandoning samsara no to use it for the deveolpment of samsara

The heart commitment - wishing to keep this commitment is the way to recevie DS special care.

it is important to think about the heart commitment coming from our wisdom.

We promised to cherish Kadamp D bec it is scientific method solving human problem - following our root guru

We promise to study and practice Kad d without mixing - bec we need to follow correct path - following jt's teaching as presented in the modern world through VGKGR

We teach kad d without mixing - there are many ways to teach kad d - our good example - daily activities show the example to others. our inner strength coming from our refuge practice. so at our d centres there are so many opportunities - answering phone, welcoming people to class, any interaction with others - it is a teaching for others. broaden the way we think about teaching.

Any one can teach because we teach from the teaching and precious books of VG but whot people really need to see are the rusults of the practice. we are the proof that d works. that is the teaching people need to see.

VG said - making this commitment doesn't have to actually be in this life. How many teachers of Kad d does this world need? 100? 1000? let's just say hundreds of hundreds of hundreds. Where are they going to come from? Faithful disciples of the NKT - where else?

perhaps we think we lack the confidence or we are inherently shy or I don't know enough D, VG once addressed this - if someone is begging in the street and they have their hand out - you don't need to be a millioner and you put your hand in the pocket and you put the coin in the begger hand and they are so happy. Same for you. perhaps you solved your anger problem and from the very first class you put it into practice and your anger has diminished - you can teach that. this is authentic. why would we not wish to share that with people who have anger all over the world. We don't need to be a D millioner - we just need to love the D that worked for us. imagined what would happen if everyone here where to teach d - if that's not your opportunity in this life just hold it

Take respinsibilty to cause Kad D to flourish. What does taking responsibility mean? what m is that? is it our reliance? our g devotion? is it our supreme good heart? is it our wisdom? pushing us to go against our s-ch mind.

Join in - do something - take responsibility - this is like the slip in road into our Guru. taking responsibility is the supreme good heart it is getting closer and closer to our G's mind who lovel all lb ithout exception.

now is the time to pass everything to you it is now your resp please do not let thi organization degenrate this is your respon the function of the nkt is ontly to lpeared pure d we promes to show good example. the function ... without mixing it with worldly activities and without mixing it with politics very improtant - exactly like ... but it is suitable in families ... this is very special I promise no one else is doing this. now it is your ersop to increase throughout the world bec we hb need ... to make ... everybody wants to be h all the time no e undr how to do this instead ppl destroy tehir own h by getting angry jeauls developing neg views so forth. from the through d we have greate opportunity to improve our human qualties ... our good fortune is not enough we should concentrate on the rest of lb througought the world ... we try to share our opportunity with all other lb I would like to encourage you everybody please take some responsibilty to ... at least in your own area ... everybody needs this precious d but if no one engages practically ... how would people have te opportuity to pracitce kad d. if no one engages practically with special metods of spreading kad d how will people ... this is our job. I have opened the door made the basic fonudation i am leaving it for you it is no your respo with the motiv of compass to spread throughout the world we try to take at least some respon to spread at least in your own area.

VG said abaout Geshe mangangpa -" One impo thing this is my orignal bell my old bell fro more than 50 years I've been using it very precious bell - i am giving this for the nkt to use by GSD, it originally belonged to the lama mahasidha mangangpa I explained about him in HJ commentary this lama was a very higher level yogi commonly belived to be JT incarantion I have special connection with him one of his monestary .... on the ground ... the top level rocky area very high was maha mangangpa ... i did retreat in his house ... it was called tharpaling .... i was in tharpaling doing retreat ... they also wanted to leave and take everything ... they came up to the retreat house and offerd the bell to me requesting i stay for a very long time hoping i keep this bell they appreciated what i was doing a lot .... they had a special feeling and they offered the bell to me. for me this bell is very blessed it has a v v special connection to lama mangangpa. if i where to give it to a private person and that person will die where would it go it will disappear.... i my self am now retired i need to pass the bell to the new GSD and when you retire you pass it... who ever ... it is symbolic for auspeciousness .... i called ..."
