We're doing some scientific research with our self - I hope you enjoy yourself - this festival rich in D - in the temple - representation of the ripening of our potential if we do scientific reserarch and we think why am I happy you'll find the answer - bec we are focused on D we receive blessings in the company of pure spi practitioners setting good example for us to follow and we are in the service of othres

From before the sun gets up all day long and through the night - people are helping

if we can be happy for a day we can be happy for two days and then for a week (getting shocking) all we do is follow the correct scientific method - mixing our mind with pure Kadam D and stay close to our root G who is JT Hrk and DS - actually easy.

So why don't we let our self be happy every day by using thes emethods and don't worry when the festival ends keep doing the same thing - staying close to our spi guide working against our delu recving his powerful blessings and benefiting others serving others that's our life as Kadampas

We engaged again in the request to the holy spi gui by his followers

In my small experience there is so much meaning in this prayer - teaching us how to rely purely on a pure spi guid - if a qualified disciple relies purely on a pure spi guide - the attaniment of E is easy. so this prayer helps us to become a qualified faithful disciple and in this prayer many words are used different expression for the kadam dharma that we have the extraordinary good fortune that we are practicing

in this prayer we pray to VG because he is the only founder of the NKT - we are his disciples and VG in the second verse we say

You who arose from the compassion of all Buddhas to revela ...the path to liberation of the fortunate ones Oh what great good fortune to have meat your precious D of the Oral Insturctions

That is what we practice - the instructions of the GOL coming from the heart of our founder our Root Guru VGKGR - that's why we use the words "your precious D of the oral instructions"

in the last verse - particularly relevant for this festival -

and the virtuous deeds of the great d protector ... may the doctorine of ... so that each and ... will find the supreme happiness of E

The supreme H of E is found through the doctrine of the GOL - these are expressions of the precious D that we found follow and practice

in the empowerment we where given the advice from our g heart to practice HJ every day the purpose is to develop unwavering faith in Guru Tsongkhapa and DS because this faith is everything for us Developing such faith in JT and DS is very simple and easy

We will one day be able to explain to others ho easy it is easy to follow the liberating path. We currently make it difficult because of delusions

In particular you can accomplish HYT realization through f and belief

This faith is most important precious inner jewel even highest scholars - intelectual knowledge of D alone coannot solve our problem.

I love that - due to modern society and the karma we have sometimes we are satisfied with intelectual knowledge. If you hear your self saying know this reply back I do not know this because that pride isn't a mind of a qualified disciple we want to have an experience not knowledge.

Intelectula knowledge canot help solve delusions
faith week - knowledge will not help us to solve our problems

without faith in Guru Tsongkhapa and DS the insturctions remain just that - knowledge We are not using. The difference between knowledge and experience is the faith that wants to use the insturctions to change. taking the insturctions like the deepest medicine.

We know that we are doing it because of our realizations will increase and others will see this . we will know when this is happening.

We should care for our faith as if it where a precious jewel.

With every precious text coming from VG heart we should ask our self what does the title mean and I think we will receive many answers.

Our faith - we should care for it as if it where a precious jewel. At first it will be small gradually it will increase faith is naturally vir actions we do not special vir motivation it alway make the mind naturally peaceful calm positive VG proposed a question - if someone ask me do you have any realizations? I can answer yes - I have faith and confidence in JT.

Is that our answwer? is that the most precious inner wealth that we possess? our faith in our G as JT? Faith is our own realization f is what makes d function. it is said generally DS practitioners who rely and practice DS have no problem in developing f in JT. if we have f in JT this is enough. A special BD that is the nature of the qck path to E if we have f it is very easy for us to make progress this is advice from my heart pease keep it in your eart

our heart jewel - one way we can interpert this title. as you know we are focusing this festival on relying on the DP but because DS JT are two aspects of same person

So start by reading the introduction of the book HJ

This book presentsts two practices revealed by the wisdom .... who himself is an emanation of B Manjushri By relying on this practice we can .... in this way we will naturally accomplish all the realizations of the stages of the bpath of su and tt and in particular we will attain a very special D wisdom The second practice - is a method for relying on the DP through this pracitce we can over come ... and cerate favarable conditions....

VG says exactly what he means - we can apply faithful effort to contempalte these insturctions.

These two practices are essental practices of Mahayana Buddhism they are both included .... By practicing this sadhana ... and we will definitly reap a harvest of pure d realiations.

Sometimes we read very quicklsy - but VG encourgaes us to contemplate - wherever we are and when we stopped forgetting and our mind moves and remains with these special insights and underg it is a sign

VG encourages us to keep this book in our heart - not on the phone... this is also meaning of HJ - like an inner guru guiding us on the correct path it will strengthen our faith view and knowledge and make our m h confident in our tradition and our spi practice we need these instructions in our heart - they encourage us and give us confidence. The purpose in meeting the GOL of JT is to help other to be free from suff. so we need confidence from our own exp knowing these insturctions work and people will be able to see that we have found something that works. that confi is inside our heart

this book has this function it is most important. So why is it not on study programme? the three study programme - both TTP and FP have commitment. GP - not. He said it is on the GP so that everyone can receive teaching on this book.

Readingi holy D text - coming from our collected works coming from VGKR - we need special reading. when we re read the preface - read with faithful - it will make a difference. of course it is from VG expe and advice - VG said - during my retreat I improved my ttc undg on my own - when I was on retreat I was reading JT books not quickly like newspaper - i was visualizing and believing Guru Tsongkhapa was in front of me and was speaking to me as I was reading this is wonderful to do - imagine the words coming from the author our root G VG who is JT for us - or say the words out load. This is how the teachings come with blessings from the author

Gradually getting used to this I sometimes felt he was really talking to me. During that time i recevied the special blessing of that EB and I believe as a result I had tho opportunity to
also my opportunity to prepare .... I have deep faith in him my motivation is pure I believe he enteres ad abide in my heart then you recvi the teaching of JT from GK you should have confidence in this and follow in this way

this is even easier for us - bec these insturctions are written for us so with a faithful m - visualizing him in front of us as GSBH or JT or VGKGR he will speak to you.

This is the special D we practice.

The unmistaken D is lamrim lojong and mm

Here MM referes to Vyana mm contaning both GS and CS of secret mantra or HYT - the instruction on these three dharmas is the heart of JT doctrine it is the very essence of BD. To gain the realiations of these three D we need torecevi into our m the powerful blessings of JT and we can say DS.

VG also taught about these three precious Dharmas. Kadama Lamirm, Kadama Lojono and MM TT the union of Su and TT

these three are real precious jewel priceless jewels - these three D are our wfjewels. Through these precious D instructions we can fulfil our own and oth wishes we can solve our own and others problems we can accomplish the ultimate goald of HL we must recog that we have this jewels. Only practitioners of NKT have the opportunity to listen and practice these - recog and undr - rejoice in your good fortune

We have the books, study programmes meditation and retreat programmes and freedom to practice. We help othe people this is your good fortune and my good fortune we must say thank you to Buddha to Lamas Tsongkhapa and we can say that everything we have everything all coming from the heart of the holy being VGKGR - we never forget our guru and we never forget his great kindness. So this unmistaken D kadama lamrin lojong and MM the quality of these Dharmas which is the very essence of Ka This doctrine has millions special qualities - and you can keep a little journal about the good qualities of this doctrine.

We can und tha kadam d has specfic power to help quickly attain E - it is likened to walking from a place to the festival or using modern technology you can fly. That is the analogy VG uses to the D we found. If you think walking - so ardious so hard maybe not make it or take a plane

VG says - we can attain E quickly from joy to joy without any difficulty bec we met the - sourced in the Kadam emanation scripture or GOL scriptures. all our books function as kadam emanation scripture or ganden emanation scripture - for us this is their function. Also bec the insturctions come directly from our g who holds the blessings of the GOL at his heart the blessings are so powerful.

This will make our everyday life comfortable and meaningful and we attain E without any difficulty.

1h15min30sec The second part of heart jewel is relying upon the DP Our way of relying on the DP DS is just like our way of relying on JT - it is simply reliance on the Spi Gui - same. Because of our special reco that the DP is the G Y and DP - simply reliance on the Spi Gui in his protector aspect. He is GTosng and we ask him please give me all the conditions and remove all obstacles. He will do that - doing DS's job.

The way to rely on DS is as follows. With the GY of JT - the second prat of HJ the prayer simply supports the practice. it is prayer - give me give megive me take away take away The purpose of praying to DS is to pacifying gathering with storng faith and conviciton we request him by reciting the prayer. with this prayer we then recevie his blessing and special care and protection. Rely on DS in a simple way - this is our tradition as fortunate modern kadampa disciple - rely in faithful simple way. same way as relying on GTsongkhapa - relying on DS has the same function as relying on our Spi Gui - protecting us, invisibly removing obstacles.

Some years ago - I used to teach in the southwest of the US for many years and at one point I granted the DS empowerment in Albequrqee in the hotel a card about wi fi appeared - stay connected be protected. which seemed to be the essence of our practice.

The more faith you have the more teachings you receive. Our faith remembers appears GTsong DS in our heart.

Lift the prayer HJ - relying on our spi gui as JT Hrk and DS - into our daily life. and we never forget that we are in the presence of our root G and everything becomes easy everything teaches us D and everything is faverable conditinos and we are protecte. Nothing bad can happen to us. we stay close. even if something happens and we lose this PHL nothing bad will happen bec we are connected to the most powerful one in the world. This is our modern tradition. In the Sadhana we are making many types of offering, but the main offering that delights DS is our pracitce of faith and the practice of the three precious dharmas.Lamrim Lojong and MM. do this continually never forgetting D no matter what we are doing DS will care protect you and give you confidence and faith. We are new kadampa tradition we have no doubt.

You have received these teachings many times - this is the greates gift - our special recognition of who is DS. this is our G's view we need these words As it says in this Sadhana - in short from now untill I attain the essence of E Ishall honour you as my g d and p therefor .... as my protcetor

as it says - DS is the synthesis of the G Y personal deity and DP we empha recog DS as the G JT the Y Hrk and the DP himself. This is reliance - believing admiring and wishing faith will come. We will rcv JT blissing through him the attainment of Hrk through him ad the pacifying of obstacles and gathering necessary coditions through him. this encourages us and gives confidence Then realization comes and these gives power to b s and m.
